I've got a cold - related goodies and printable pain scale stickers

I made this illustration of a girl holding a hot-water bottle out of an older vector graphic.

The moment I decided to announce my comeback to blogging I got a cold. What bad luck! So instead of a real update of my blog and instead of keeping it in a tip-top shape there came another delay...

The unattractive symptoms of a cold

It turned out that I've got not only a run-of-the-mill cold but a really tough one.
And with the cold came all the unattractive symptoms:
- the puffy, watery, read eyes that look even worse if you've also ben up all night with a cough,
- the dry, cracked, irritated lips from mouth breathing due to the stuffy nose,
- the red runny nose...
Everything began to taste the same and I sounded like I smoke two packs a day.
My brain was definitely foggier than usual.
I still feel lousy and I am way behind schedule.

Things really were falling apart. Today is the first day I feel capable to write a post again.
I've gone through my old stuff looking for illness related illustrations.

If you love palm themed motifs I just made the right thing with this free printable tropical leaf template. The decorative illustrations are matching my printable flamingo planer inserts.
The free download features three different kinds of exotic leaves from the monstera plant, the nypa-palm and the bananas palm tree.

Make DIY page markers for your planner or bookmarks out of it. Their shape is just the right size to be useful for all kinds of tags.

Just download it on your computer, print it and cut the single plants out. You can see on the pictures how I made it myself: I let a small white border around each leaf. That cutting is much more easier this way.

Free printable tropical planner stickers - Agendasticker - freebie

Summer is coming and it's just the right time for the free printable tropical planner stickers I made today. A brightly colored sticker sheet featuring exotic plants (hibiscus blossoms and various palm leaves), fruits (such as pineapple, banana, and watermelon), and flamingos. In fact I even smuggled a cocktail into this collection.

As always you can download the template, print it and cut the single items out. The best way to cut the sweet stickers out is letting a small white border around the drawing. It's easier and it looks more professional.

They are a gorgeous decorations for your planners, timetables as well as for gift wraps. They make me think about sun, fun and laughter. All motifs for happiness.

Did you know that the word "flamingo" for this long-legged bird comes from Spanish "flamingo" which means flame-colored? It's because of their salmon-pink and red color.

Free digital butterfly scrapbooking paper wonder - Geschenkpapier + monthly calendar

This is the most beautiful butterfly pattern I ever made – and it's now a free digital scrapbooking paper you can download for your own projects. 

As always I made a printable paper version too for all the creative people among you who love DIY projects with papers. 

Some of you will recognize the pattern paper out of a tutorial (how to make a 3D paper sticker+ free template) for 3D butterflies.

There are so many ways to use the papers. I myself already used it as a wrapping paper as well as for envelopes, wall art and buntings. So just download the paper on your computer, print it and start to work away with it.

Free digital sloth scrapbooking paper - Faultier Geschenkpapier - freebie

Today I've created some super cute free digital sloth scrapbooking papers for you. They are mainly black and white colored. One features smiling sloth faces and the other sloths sleeping on a tree branch.  Aren't they sweet? I'm quite happy with the result of my drawing today. 

You can use the exotic animal paper for scrapbooking or as DIY gift wrapping paper.  Or for animal themed children's party decorations. – Just make some buntings out of it and add some paper pockets for the silver ware or some DIY cup sleeves.

Hallo liebe Besucher von MeinLilaPark! Oben habe ich zwei unterschiedliche kostenlos ausdruckbare Geschenkpapiere voller Faultiere für euch gezeichnet. Die Faultiermuster habe ich hauptsächlich in Schwarz-Weiß gehalten. Nur die Fläche um Nase und Mäulchen der Tiere habe ich grau gefärbt. Das eine Papiermuster besteht aus schlafenden Faultieren, das andere aus den lustig lächelnden Gesichten dieser exotischen Tiere. 

Wenn ihr das Printable ausdrucken wollt, empfehle ich euch die pdf-Dateien, weil sie eine bessere Druckqualität haben. Für Hintergrundmuster, die ihr digital macht, sind die quadratische Versionen. 

Free printable alpaca wall art - Alpakaposter

Some of you will recognize the alpaca illustration I took for this free printable nursery wall art. I made the cute doodle for my round-up of free llama themed printables. 

The thing is. I'm not very good in recognizing the difference between llama and alpaca. So it took me a while to realize that I've drawn a alpaca baby instead of a llama. Or what do you think? It's really difficult to say what animal it's more like. Anyway they both really sweet. And what is more: They are both trend motifs in design at the moment. You can see them everywhere. Some people say that llamas are the new unicorns. 

I thought you might like my alpacas / llamas as a wall decoration. It would be especially darling in a nursery. But also if you make a llama themed party or if you just love this animal.

Free digital yellow striped scrapbooking paper – gestreiftes Papier - freebie

One of the most clicked free digital scrapbooking papers on Meinlilapark is my simple yellow and white striped pattern paper. Would you believe this? It's one of the simplest pattern and yet such a star on this blog. The post dating on the year 2014 already had over 56k visitors. 

Back then I made a DIY candy bag topper out of this summery template:

So I thought it would be appropriate to make a newer entry of the fresh and bright printable we connect instantly with sun and happiness.

For practically all of my own designs I needed much more time, creative ideas and work. But stripes are so popular that they are a brilliant tag. Most of the visitors are hopping over from pinterest.

Wer hätte gedacht, dass ein einfach gelb und weiß gestreiftes ausdruckbares Papier eines der meistgesuchten freebies auf diesem Blog ist?! Der Eintrag dazu stammt aus dem Jahr 2014 und ist schon weit über 56'000 angeklickt worden.
